Monitor, Campus Safety

Campus Safety Monitor will provide security and safety services for the school campus, protecting the wellbeing of students, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include controlling access to the site, patrolling buildings and grounds to ensure only authorized persons are present, monitoring student behavior before, during, and after school, engaging students to verify authorization to be outside the classroom, identifying and reporting safety or security issues to administration, assisting staff with maintaining order during school activities (hall monitoring, lunchroom duty, bus arrivals/departures, parent pickup), and escorting visitors as needed. The role requires observing safety procedures, reporting potentially unsafe conditions, and exercising judgment to resolve issues within scope. Competencies include safety and security, conflict resolution, dependability, and decision-making. Education: high school diploma or GED; experience in security preferred; language skills to read, interpret, and communicate safety information; math skills for basic calculations. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 55 lbs (with two-person lift for heavier lifts), and tolerance for varying environmental conditions.
