Monitor/Aide

Monitor student welfare and maintain order while enroute, assisting with loading and unloading, and conducting pre- and post-trip inspections including child checks and wheelchair lifts. Communicate behavior issues and stop conditions with the driver and school personnel, and perform emergency evacuations or physical removal of disabled children. Clean bus interiors and assist with required paperwork for the district and state. Attend all safety and training meetings. This part-time role supports the daily transportation of over one million children in Waukegan, IL, as a division of North America Central School Bus.
