Job Summary
Provide virtual language instruction to improve foreign language proficiency across Listening, Reading, and Speaking (ILR 0+–3) and deliver region/culture-focused content using blended-learning methods. Develop lesson plans and learning materials, assess student work, and deliver feedback while maintaining a positive virtual learning environment. Collaborate with Managers and Coordinators to address curriculum gaps and tailor instruction to student needs; prioritize readiness for DLPT/OPI assessments and English-language requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Educated native speaker of the foreign language with ILR 3/3/3 or equivalent
- Experience in providing various levels of foreign language instruction through a virtual environment
- Understanding of the cultural, social, and political environment of the foreign language region
- Experience in creating blended learning lessons and tailoring materials to customer needs
- Access to computer with Windows, Webcam, Headset with Microphone, Cellular Phone or Smart Tablet, and High-Speed Internet
- Proficiency in English language qualifications: ILR level 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High or related measures (OPI, TOEFL, ECL)
- Target language qualifications: ILR 2+ or ACTFL Advanced-High or higher; demonstrated via OPI, ACTFL certification, or DLPT
