Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, and maintain waste collection vehicles and equipment, including diesel engines, electrical and hydraulic systems; mentor apprentices and provide training for their program; perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections to ensure fleet reliability and safety; adhere to Miller Waste safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety Act; liaise professionally with operations staff while working a steady afternoon shift in Moncton, NB.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Journeyperson Certificate or enrolled in Truck & Transport Technician (Red Seal) program
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Ability to perform MVI inspections
- Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong self-management and organizational skills
- Provide own tools and willingness to acquire tools as required for job
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work late and potentially weekends/holidays
