Job Summary
Molecular Training Specialist (2nd Shift) at Caris Life Sciences responsible for performing a broad range of molecular techniques including RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, and Next-Generation Sequencing, while independently delivering training, developing competency samples, and ensuring data quality. Will manage regulatory compliance (FDA, CLIA, NYS, ISO, CAP), initiate and document training progress, support validation and new assay implementation, and contribute to quality control/QA process improvements. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological/clinical/medical laboratory science or medical technology, 4+ years clinical lab experience with at least 1 year in high complexity molecular testing, and proficiency in molecular workflows; preferred Master’s degree and FDA-regulated industry experience. 2nd shift; Phoenix, AZ location. Has responsibilities spanning data analysis, quality metrics, and instructional delivery to molecular technologists, with emphasis on training, competency, and regulatory/documentation practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
- 4+ years clinical lab experience with at least 1 year being high complexity molecular testing
- Demonstrated proficiency in molecular workflows and assay troubleshooting
- High technical accuracy and efficiency across multiple assays
- Good knowledge quality control and monitoring methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, general working knowledge of Internet for business use, and skilled in operating office equipment such as fax machines and copiers
