Job Summary
Contract Molecular Technician to assist with molecular laboratory processes and test performance under supervision. Responsibilities include processing clinical specimens, maintaining lab organization, adhering to SOPs and QA/QC procedures, preparing and storing reagents, inventory management, preventative maintenance and data entry, and providing internal/external customer service. The role requires use of automation tools and relevant software within a molecular lab workflow, with flexibility in daily scheduling. On-site San Diego position under a 1-year contract; base pay range $25.30–$28.60/hour with potential bonuses and incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s or higher degree in chemical, physical, biological sciences, or medical technology from an accredited institution
- 1+ year of relevant laboratory experience
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
