Job Summary
Lead Molecular Technician responsible for guiding and coordinating molecular laboratory workflows, training non-licensed personnel, conducting competency assessments, and supporting the development and implementation of SOPs. Assists with molecular testing on clinical specimens under supervision, ensures quality control, and maintains laboratory organization. Leads training initiatives, identifies and resolves processing issues, and collaborates with management to meet turnaround times. Requires experience in laboratory leadership, familiarity with LIS and software, and ability to adapt schedules; shift is Tue-Sat 5:00am–1:30pm. Associate’s degree or higher in a relevant science is required, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3+ years of lab experience. Pay range: $34–$39/hour (annualized to $70,720–$81,120). Required Qualifications
- Associate’s, or higher, degree in chemical, physical, biological sciences, or medical technology from an accredited institution required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
