Molecular Laboratory Manager

Supervise molecular technicians and laboratory assistants in specimen accessioning, performance, and processing while planning and directing daily workflow. Define, coordinate, and monitor the quality assurance program, ensuring compliance procedures are followed, CAP accreditation is maintained, and reports remain up to date. Mentor direct reports through training programs and performance evaluations, while overseeing staffing, hiring, and staff development. Maintain medical laboratory equipment performance by establishing quality standards, certifying instrument performance, and arranging service or repairs. Develop annual budgets, manage department costs, and maintain supply inventory by checking stock levels and expediting orders. Resolve problems through client interactions and adjust staffing based on workload peaks and slack periods.
