Job Summary
Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot injection molding and thermoforming molds to ensure optimal production performance. Operate and maintain tool room equipment, including mills, surface grinders, EDM machines, and lathes. Inspect and evaluate molding stacks to identify service needs and perform necessary repairs. Read and interpret engineering drawings while maintaining high standards of quality and precision. This role requires previous experience repairing molds and operating manual tool room equipment, along with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Candidates must be able to read blueprints and technical drawings. Preferred experience includes operating CNC machining equipment and using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for inspection.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience repairing and maintaining injection molding molds in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
- Ability to operate manual tool room equipment, including mills, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM machines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with solid math fundamentals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating or programming CNC machining equipment
- Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for inspection and quality verification
