Job Summary
Molding Technician responsible for executing scheduled mold changeovers (pulling and setting injection molds using an overhead crane), setting up all auxiliary equipment (robots, cooling systems, valve gate systems, heater boxes) to support production runs, performing color and order changes with line clearance, completing daily PM checklists, visually inspecting molded parts for quality, assisting in training newer team members, and maintaining 5S standards and safety (LOTO) practices. The role requires lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally (58 lbs regularly) and is offered on 2nd or 3rd shifts (with 1st shift also available). Preferred candidates have hands-on injection molding changeover experience, overhead crane certification or eligibility, and familiarity with related equipment and materials.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with injection mold changeovers — setting and pulling molds is required
- Overhead crane operation required (certification preferred or must be certifiable)
- Working knowledge of injection molding machines: operation, setup, and basic maintenance
- Familiarity with auxiliary equipment: robots, cooling systems, valve gate systems, heater boxes
- Understanding of plastic materials and basic hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems
- Forklift operation experience (preferred)
