Job Summary
Adjust and monitor injection molding equipment on a 5/8 schedule (Sun-Thu, 10 PM–6:30 AM), diagnosing faults to determine repairs and maintaining standard cycle times for product quality. Set press tonnage, mold damage protection, and first-piece quality before releasing machines to production, while programming and operating injection molding machines and setting up End of Arm tooling for robotic removal. Manage materials, molds, and tooling care, and ensure all quality and production documentation is prepared prior to release. Maintain continuous process control by identifying potential maintenance needs and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Requires three years minimum experience in plastic manufacturing, Strong foundation in intermediate mathematics, and Systematic Molding I – RJG, Paulson, or other accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in intermediate mathematics
- Strong familiarity with quality measurements
- Familiarity with mold tooling and components
- Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively
- Previous molding set-up experience
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
- Understanding of molding processing including the nature of plastics
- Demonstrated problem solving and root/cause analysis skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Systematic Molding I – RJG, Paulson, or other accreditation
- Three years minimum experience in a plastic manufacturing facility as a process technician/set up technician
- Must be available for 5/8 Schedule (SUN-TH 10PM-6:30AM)
