Job Summary
Molding Process Technician role supporting injection molding operations in Franklin, TN. Responsibilities include setting up, starting up, troubleshooting, and monitoring injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment; making machine adjustments (injection pressure, cycle time) to maintain product quality and production efficiency; troubleshooting molding and process-related issues; inspecting products for dimensional and surface defects; assisting with mold changes and startup procedures; monitoring for downtime, cycle deviations, and mold changes; conducting Root Cause Analysis for quality and production issues; recording scrap and production data; communicating process, quality, and safety concerns to supervisors and incoming shifts; maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment; collaborating with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to minimize downtime and improve performance; occasional support for department leadership in supervisor's absence.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Technical education or Associate’s Degree preferred
- 3–5 years of Injection Molding Technician experience preferred
- Experience troubleshooting and setting up injection molding equipment
- Knowledge of robotic systems and auxiliary equipment is preferred
- Familiarity with different plastic materials and injection molding processes
- Experience with Milacron injection molding equipment is a plus
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
