Job Summary
Operate injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment while applying optimal parameters to ensure dimensional stability and eliminate defects. Independently conduct mold testing, establish safety guidelines, and lead trials to qualify molds per requirements. Coordinate closely with vendors, planners, and production to manage mold development stages from design through assembly and handover. Execute design of experiments on injection parameters to analyze their impact on molded parts and resolve injection-related issues. Provide expert advice on part moldability during DFM and select tool steel grades and resins to achieve guarantee shots and reduce maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in engineering or manufacturing
- At least 8 years of hands-on work experience in injection molding
- Understand mold construction and plastic parts drawings with critical GD&T callouts
- Proficient in molding simulation software such as Moldflow, Moldex3D etc.
