Job Summary
Convatec is seeking a Molding Process Engineer to support and establish process control and capability across existing and new manufacturing processes, including training across all shifts. The role ensures the injection molding process is capable at all times and involves providing technical training on Injection Molding, serving as the liaison between the production floor and Engineering Manager for Lean implementation and policy adherence, maintaining process sheets and molds, validating new molds/machines, and driving continuous improvements through methods such as DOE and capability studies. The position requires strong documentation of process parameters, work instructions, and packaging instructions, as well as interaction with auditors and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines. Preferred background includes experience with Scientific Injection Molding, ISO 14001:2015, and bilingual Spanish/English communication, with a track record of leadership and cross-shift collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, preferably in Molding Process or Similar
- At least 5 years of Experience in Injection Molding Process
- Tooling / molds, Injection molding machine maintenance required
- DOE, CAR – root cause analysis
- Capability studies
- Minitab
- Safety and regulatory guidelines
- Scientific Injection Molding (Preferred)
- Must be a proven team leader
