Job Summary
Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to manufacture product conforming to quality specifications, while conducting minor maintenance on assigned presses. Stacking boxes and totes, bagging material, and printing labels to supply downstream equipment. Perform thorough product inspections and make decisions relative to quality requirements, keeping machinery, work areas, and floors neat to comply with GMP standards. Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and wear steel toe or composite shoes. Work a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM 3-2-2-3 schedule including weekends with an eye exam required. Maintain knowledge of raw materials and product specifications within the Sumter, South Carolina manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Eye exam Required
- Candidate is expected to lift up to 50lbs unassisted, required
- Steel toe shoes or composite shoes are required for the job assignment
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be able to work effectively in a team with limited supervision
- Must be familiar with all relevant controlled documents (Work Instructions, Forms, etc.), preventative maintenance task lists and equipment manuals which pertain to operation of all equipment in the cell
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferably injection molding presses (both electric & hydraulic)
