Job Summary
Assemble, prepare, and cast insulators used in nVent products by sandblasting sleeves, inserts, and finished units according to process requirements. Accurately measure, mix, and handle liquid materials while using hand tools, sanders, grinders, and compressed air equipment safely. Read work instructions, SOPs, and blueprints to complete production tasks, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. This medium work role involves lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and requires comfort in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Required Qualifications
- Experience accurately measuring, mixing, or handling liquids in a manufacturing or production setting
- Ability to read tape measures, basic blueprints, SOPs, and work instructions
- Ability to use hand tools, cleaning equipment, compressed air tools, sanders, grinders, sandblasting units, ratchet straps, stencils, rubber hammers, and overhead cranes as needed
- Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
- Ability to calculate and interpret common tape measurements
- Ability to read and understand simple to moderately complex instructions
- Ability to write notes or simple correspondence and effectively communicate with co-workers
- Ability to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip
- Ability to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently
- Ability to bend, kneel, and maintain balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs
