Job Summary
Molder at Magellan Aerospace (Glendale) responsible for preparing and finishing molds used in magnesium and aluminum sand casting. Responsibilities include cleaning and smoothing molds, cores, and core boxes; assembling cores into mold sections per work instructions; tending molding machines to form completed molds; operating molding equipment to produce quality products; inspecting cores for defects and reporting issues to the supervisor; maintaining a clean, safe work area; meeting production goals and deadlines; and complying with company policies and safety regulations. The role requires reading and interpreting work instructions, strong attention to detail, the ability to stand for extended periods, physical dexterity, lifting up to 50 lbs, and good communication skills. Training programs for technical skill enhancement are available, and Magellan offers competitive salary and benefits.
