Job Summary
Conduct dimensional, functional testing, and visual quality checks on molded products, communicating defects to management and ensuring accurate documentation. Perform line clearances, pack finished goods, and transport materials using hand, tallyho, or forklift. Maintain a clean, organized workspace through 5S initiatives, manage inventory containment, and execute preventative maintenance duties. Cycle count materials and investigate discrepancies while recording production stoppages and statistical sampling results. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams, assist with cross-training, and ensure all labels comply with work order specifications during the rotating C shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years manufacturing experience
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient organizational skills
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Proficient math skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to cycle count inventory
- Must be able to operate a forklift or other available means necessary
- Must be able to perform preventative maintenance duties
- Must be able to participate in the Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes and Shift Start-up
- Must be able to maintain a clean & organized workplace environment (5s)
- Must be able to transport all in-process and finished materials by hand, tallyho, forklift or other available means necessary
- Must be able to perform dimensional, functional testing, and visual quality checks according to appropriate procedures
- Must be able to communicate non-conforming material (defects) to the quality group and management
- Must be able to accurately complete all required paperwork/documentation for the products being molded
- Must be able to pack finished products into cartons and bag and affix content labels
- Must be able to maintain an open line of communication to assure all problems and changes are communicated and resolved in a timely manner
- Must be able to perform line clearances of effected equipment at end of and prior to production run
- Must be able to ensure all labels are correct according to the work order information
- Must be able to record problems which occurred during production, such as defects found, statistical sampling results, reason for stoppages
- Must be able to assist other team members in cross-training and conduct on the job training of other associates
- Must be able to contain rejected raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods
- Must be able to organize, retrieve from warehouse stock locations and proper storage of raw materials at workstations
- Must be able to comply to production reporting guidelines utilizing MES
- Must be able to work rotating schedule | C Shift | 6:00AM - 6:00PM
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum Experience: 2 years manufacturing experience required in lieu of HS Diploma/GED
