Job Summary
Operate and support injection molding operations: install prepared molds into presses, startup presses for production runs, set press settings, troubleshoot automation and auxiliary equipment, fill out press monitor logs, manage lots and change orders in the MRP system, print work orders, record scrap and document process changes; collaborate with Process Engineers, Molding Supervisor, and Quality Assurance to ensure product quality; maintain clean, organized molding areas; follow safety procedures and protect confidential information; perform daily paperwork and participate in varying shifts as needed to meet customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Two year technical degree and two years processing experience -OR- 3-5 years processing experience with six months experience as press operator with mold set-up training
- Must have experience or demonstrate ability to perform all tasks required for the Mold Technician Trainee position
- Thorough knowledge of thermoplastic materials and injection molding processes and machines
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 70 pounds and physical ability to bend and walk
- 20/20 Vision with or without corrective lenses
