Job Summary
Tool Maker responsible for interpreting engineering drawings and fabricating/repairing molds and tooling using conventional and CNC machining (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM). Key duties include in-press mold troubleshooting, hot runner system repair, designing/building electrodes, and maintaining tooling per 5S, GMP, HACCP and food-contact material standards. Requires debugging and improving molds per engineering prints; proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks preferred), accurate measurement with calipers/micrometers, and maintaining tooling records. Education includes High School Diploma or GED (required) with Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; certifications such as forklift and overhead crane are required. Night shift schedule (6:30PM-7:00AM, rotating 2-2-3 with every other weekend). Strong communication skills and safety adherence are essential.
