Mold Setter

Job Summary
Conduct mold set-up and removal, operate tow motors, and setup work areas around presses. Maintain order of all tools and equipment, clean components, and assist with cleaning the molding/production floor. Perform mold tear down and assembly while enforcing all safety rules and regulations. Promote group continuity through effective verbal and written communication. This role requires physical mobility including lifting up to 50 pounds periodically and the ability to work safely in a production environment. Candidates must be technically and mechanically inclined with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and fluid power.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years' experience in Injection Molding or other contract manufacturing environment set-up/removal
- Physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically)
- Visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects
- Ability to work safely in a production environment
- Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Ability and willingness to work in other areas of production (Injection molding machines, pad printing, material handling)
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems and fluid power
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Efficient in MS Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to prioritize issues, takes action, follow through and focus on delivering results
- Ability to identify issues, generates solutions, and use relevant information to drive decisions
