Job Summary
Perform mold and die changes on 500–3300 ton presses, setting up molds, water lines, knockout systems, hot runners, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Set molding press parameters, identify and repair fluid or air leaks, and pull/reset mold halves for maintenance. Load and unload mold-carrying trucks, install auxiliary equipment, and maintain an organized staging area. Submit required documentation and adhere to safety procedures while participating in World Class Manufacturing projects. This 3rd shift role (11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Mon–Fri) in Sterling Heights or Shelby Township, MI, pays $20–$26/hour with overtime and weekend availability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing mold/die changes in a manufacturing setting
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and hot runner systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair fluid and air leaks
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
