Job Summary
Restoration Technician duties include driving the company vehicle, setting up and operating water mitigation and/or mold remediation equipment, removing damaged materials (e.g., drywall, carpeting, padding, wood floors), and performing general cleaning. Candidate will complete paperwork such as moisture mapping and humidity readings, assist with contents pack out, clean fire-damaged property, and provide after-hours emergency services; duties also include board-up of damaged property. Requirements emphasize a professional appearance and attitude, strong communication and customer service, basic construction knowledge and tool use, excellent attention to detail, and punctuality. Position offers paid training, opportunities for advancement, and a competitive hourly rate ($20-$25/hour) with on-call compensation; hours listed as 8:00am–4:00pm with on-call rotations; location is Poughkeepsie, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Very good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Some construction knowledge and ability to use hand tools/power tools
