Job Summary
Plan to process, fabricate, purchase standard components, finish fit, shut off, and assemble precision injection molds while ensuring actual machine and labor hours remain at or below the build plan quote. Inspect shut-off areas and critical dimensions per ISO standards, utilizing CAD/CAM data to process details and sequences. Set up and operate CNC Mills, surface grinders, and EDMs, then assemble and finish fit shutoffs with direction from leads. Provide guidance to apprentices and offer follow-up for off-shift mold makers and specialized operators to maintain project continuity. Maintain clean work areas using 5-S principles and complete purchase requisitions for cutters, materials, and maintenance items. Requires four years of mold building experience, blueprint reading, and Master Cam software proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four (4) years of Mold Building experience
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, tool drawings
- Ability to fully utilize Master Cam software
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or on a team
- Flexibility with work schedules
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Successful completion of trade school and/or apprenticeship program
- Experience with Makino and Haas CNC's
