Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain dies through welding, machining, and grinding processes. Responsible for disassembly and assembly of dies, emergency repairs, and daily improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, Time, and Sustainability. Work effectively in a team environment, troubleshoot die concerns, and implement countermeasures. Requires proficiency in machine shop tools and TIG welding, alongside strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years of tool and die experience or die maintenance experience
- Must be proficient with machine shop tools (ex. Lathes, Mills, Surface grinders, etc.)
- Must be proficient with TIG welding processes
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills
- Proficient mathematical skills
- Troubleshooting skills
- Team oriented with good personal skills
- Ability to contribute to a safe work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a tool-and-die apprenticeship or similar schooling
- Associates degree from a vocational school in Machine Tool Technology
