Job Summary
Mold Maker responsible for the precision repair, maintenance, and optimization of complex injection molds used in high-volume production. Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of injection molds (including multi-cavity and hot runner systems); disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and rebuild tooling components; machine/fit precision components with toolroom equipment (mills, grinders, lathes, polishing tools); analyze mold failures and defects and implement corrective actions; interpret engineering drawings/CAD models; perform preventive maintenance per schedule; document mold maintenance and repairs in Maximo (CMMS); collaborate with Molding Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams; identify potential issues before failures; adhere to SOPs and maintain rigorous quality control; require High School Diploma or equivalent and English proficiency; shift: Wednesday–Saturday 4/10, 4:00am–2:30pm; onsite in Houston, TX; travel up to 10%; sponsorship not available; preferred: experience in injection mold repair, reading/interpreting drawings and CAD models, CMMS experience, precision metrology tools, and experience in a toolroom/manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
