Job Summary
Perform mold maintenance, cleaning, and inspection while conducting preventative maintenance, machining, and modifying or repairing parts as needed. Sandblast molds and blow pin tips, sharpen cutting rings and stitch knives, and report damaged equipment to the Toolmaker or Production Manager. Maintain accurate records of mold-related drawings and spare part quantities, order replacements, and coordinate with production planners to align toolroom activities with production goals. Liaise with external mold vendors and serve as the primary technical contact for the NOAM Mold Specialists. Schedule: 6am to 2:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of manufacturing or related experience
- Mechanical ability
- Good computer skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to operate Forklifts
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs
- Occasionally lift and/or move more than 50lbs
- Close vision
- Ability to act in a safe and environmentally responsible manner by adhering to all ALPLA policies and procedures and Safety Standards (OSHA)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in mold maintenance/preparation
