Job Summary
Perform mold changes and ensure tools are ready to meet production schedules. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, then execute repairs on mold tools. Recommend procedural and equipment enhancements to improve operational efficiency. Maintain a safe, clean working environment while adhering to physical demands for lifting objects up to 60 lbs and interpreting technical drawings. This second-shift role supports injection molding operations, requiring experience with mold tool construction and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 60 lbs
- Ability to occasionally move objects weighing in excess of 100 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk on a regular basis and occasionally climb, stoops, kneels, or crouch
- Ability to view fine detail, color variation, and depth perception for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- associate degree preferred
- Prior Injection mold tool maintenance and assembly experience preferred
- Basic math skills, including knowledge of shop/mechanical mathematics
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and 3D models
- Ability to comprehend and retain technical verbal and written instructions
- Understanding and experience with mold tool construction and maintenance
