Job Summary
Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos and fungi using PLM microscopy. Enter analytical data into the LIMS, perform independent data reviews, and validate results against client requirements. Maintain laboratory equipment, manage inventory of consumables, and coordinate sample transfers while adhering to strict Quality Assurance protocols. Perform root cause analysis for errors and assist in maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations. Schedule workload according to due dates and hold times, providing technical support to client services and colleagues as needed. Requires 1+ years of experience in asbestos microscopy or spore trap analysis; compensation is $22.00 - $29.00 per hour. 6-8 weeks of overnight travel may be required for initial training.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy
- 1+ years of experience performing spore trap and direct exam analysis
- Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- 6-8 weeks of overnight travel
- Monday - Friday, day shift
- General regulatory requirements
