Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant - Hickory NC

Job Summary
Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by taking medical histories, recording vital signs, and addressing patient concerns. Assist surgeons by preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment during procedures, while ensuring the surgical environment meets safety and infection control standards. Provide post-operative instructions to patients and maintain accurate documentation of interactions and procedures in electronic health records. Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule appointments and follow-up visits efficiently. This role requires dermatology experience and strong knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques. Full-time Monday through Friday hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Dermatology experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification or surgical technician training
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and surgical aseptic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare software
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols
- Currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis
