Job Summary
Conduct initial assessments, obtain medical histories, and monitor vital signs for patients prior to Mohs surgery. Assist surgeons during procedures by preparing instruments and supplies while maintaining sterile environments and infection control protocols. Provide post-operative care guidance, document patient information in electronic health records, and coordinate scheduling and follow-up appointments. Educate patients about the procedure and address concerns to ensure comfort. Requires Medical Assistant certification, surgical experience, and EHR proficiency. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a surgical or dermatology setting, preferably with Mohs surgery
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and patient care protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, focused on patient comfort and education
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis
