Job Summary
Conduct initial assessments, review health data, and develop comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing Mohs surgery. Provide detailed pre- and post-operative education to patients and families while assisting the surgeon with scrubbing, instrument handling, suturing, and maintaining a sterile operative field. Prepare surgical areas, organize instruments, administer anesthesia under physician supervision, and operate equipment such as the autoclave. Monitor patient safety during procedures and recovery, assist with post-surgical mobility, and ensure the environment remains clean and compliant with protocols. Accurately document all patient care aspects in the EMR system and manage follow-up communications. Available Monday through Friday, 8 hours daily, starting at 6 AM with travel between multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Expertise in the use of surgical instruments
- Expertise in maintaining sterile environments
- Must be available to start at 6AM
- Must be available to travel between multiple locations
