Job Summary
Mohs Medical Assistant needed for a dermatology practice in Port Orange, FL. Responsibilities include assisting in Mohs surgery and surgical excisions, supporting the physician in patient care, maintaining and reviewing patient medical records, obtaining consents, calling in prescriptions, assisting with scheduling surgeries, screening and rooming patients, enforcing PPE and infection-control procedures, and performing related administrative tasks. Travel is required and the role emphasizes teamwork and the ability to function in a fast-paced clinical environment. Certified Medical Assistant credentials and CPR are required or preferred, with dermatology/Mohs experience highly regarded.
Required Qualifications
- CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT PREFERRED
- Surgical or Mohs Experience PREFERRED
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of vital signs
- Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique
