Job Summary
Mohs Medical Assistant at Platinum Dermatology Partners supports patient preparation for exams, enters medical histories and prescriptions into EMR, assists physicians during Mohs procedures, collects path/lab specimens, educates patients, documents instructions, cleans and stocks exam rooms, and fulfills provider-directed tasks. The role requires strong patient care, professional communication, knowledge of Mohs clinical workflows, CPT/ICD-10 familiarity, and prior dermatology/surgical experience, with 2-3 years in a medical office and CMA certification. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant training
- 2-3 years of experience in a medical office as a medical assistant
- Medical assistant or dermatology technician certification
- Prior Dermatology and surgical experience
- Prior Mohs experience
- Knowledge of Mohs procedures and treatments
- CPT, ICD-10
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience with electronic medical records
