Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise daily activities of the clinic Mohs lab staff, demonstrating the ability to perform all duties of supervised employees. Monitor and evaluate workflow to improve efficiency, adjusting tasks daily to accommodate fluctuations while maintaining high-quality productivity. Provide rotating on-call coverage for all lab areas as needed and troubleshoot instruments and test methods under direction. Conduct training and new employee orientation alongside the Lab Manager, and ensure safe lab practices are adhered to. Record and maintain all QC/QA documentation, assist with courier coordination, and check for expired reagents or spills. Plan and implement improved laboratory processes in conjunction with management.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science, medical technology or chemical, physical or biological science and 1 year training and experience in high-complexity testing
- Associate degree in medical laboratory technology (or pulmonary function) and 2 years laboratory (or blood gas analysis) training or experience, or both, in high complexity testing
- State Licensure if applicable
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years experience as a Histotechnician/Histology Technician
- 2 years experience in a leadership role
