Job Summary
Support the diagnostic evaluation of tissue by performing histological procedures and specialized histopathological tasks. Execute high complexity testing including receiving fresh unfixed specimens, mapping, grossing, sectioning, ink application, relax cuts, and scoring. Complete non-high complexity duties such as embedding, cryotomy, staining, and coverslipping, along with immunohistochemistry staining. Adhere to guidelines established by histology and MOHS laboratory protocols. Requires a certified Histotechnologist with prior dermatology experience and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a certified Histotechnologist
- Must have prior Mohs surgery and dermatology experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator
- Must possess mobility to complete errands or deliveries
- Includes handling of sharps and chemicals
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor of science degree is preferred
- Qualified applicants will have prior histology experience, specifically in dermatology
