Job Summary
Run and coordinate the daily operation of the Mogul machine according to the production schedule. Perform minor troubleshooting, ensure product uniformity, and maintain accurate documentation while assisting with mold board, nozzle plate, and piston bar adjustments. Monitor and maintain product uniformity in starch trays, prevent starch buildup, and inspect mold board impressions for quality and proper board weight. Respond quickly to minor malfunctions, address jams, and report equipment issues or product quality deviations to the Production Supervisor. Verify raw materials, input downtime in RedZone, record overconsumption, and transport candy sleds to and from dry rooms. Clean equipment and work areas daily while complying with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and Food Safety Plans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- At least 1 month of manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Physical ability to frequently lift and move up to 100 pounds
- Physical ability to occasionally lift and move up to 1000 pounds
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
- Physical ability to use hands for handling
- Physical ability to reach with arms
- Physical ability to climb or balance
- Physical ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
