Job Summary
Lead technical discussions with customers to understand High Value Problems (HVPs) and define, propose, and implement Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) in dielectric deposition (CVD/ALD). Capture and institutionalize learnings to maximize service opportunities and deliver measurable improvements to customer KPIs. Drive CSA value through defect reduction, variability reduction, cost-of-ownership improvements, and process optimization; identify opportunities for CSA renewal and upsell. Demonstrate and lead adoption of new service technologies (e.g., FabVantage) via customer demos and Joint Development Programs, and provide technical direction to mentor junior MPEs. Generate technical reports from BOM, EC, tool sensor data, and on-wafer results; serve as a technical authority on dielectric deposition and manufacturability challenges. Requires strong data analytics, communication with senior stakeholders, and travel up to 25% domestically.
Required Qualifications
- BS/MS in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry (or equivalent)
- 10+ years of experience in dielectric deposition Process Engineering
- Strong Wafer Fab and semiconductor equipment experience
- DOE / statistical analysis (JMP, Python, Spotfire)
- Yield improvement and defect analysis
- Hardware–process interactions
- Proven technical expertise in dielectric deposition unit processes and Wafer Fab operations
- Ability to travel domestically as assigned <50% per month depending on customer project support
