Job Summary
Lead modular construction projects from award through final delivery by developing execution plans, aligning engineering and fabrication teams, and managing cost tracking and forecasting. Guide design development to ensure models are fabrication-ready, coordinate VDC/BIM efforts, and create integrated production schedules for material releases and shop workflows. Forecast labor needs, track key performance metrics for continuous improvement, and serve as the primary client contact to manage expectations and build long-term relationships. Requires 7+ years of project management experience, PMP certification, and fluency in Procore and Excel. On-site in Richmond, VA with relocation assistance available.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in modular construction, fabrication, or industrial project management
- Strong understanding of VDC/BIM coordination and design processes
- Proven ability to manage project financials and forecasting
- Experience with scheduling and production planning
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly coordinated environment
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be open to relocating to the Greater Richmond region
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampness
- Must be able to work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levels
- Must be able to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dust
- Must be able to work in confined spaces or from high heights
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience in construction, fabrication, or industrial projects
- Demonstrated experience managing project financials (cost, forecasting, margin)
- Experience coordinating across design, fabrication, and/or field execution
- Strong communication and customer-facing experience
- Fluent with computer use and software navigation of various kinds to include but not limited to Excel, Microsoft office, Procore
- PMP Certification
- Prior military experience
