Job Summary
Contract Modern Workplace Engineer to design, deploy, and improve a Windows 11 SOE for a Federal Government client, leading the migration from SCCM/ConfigMgr to a cloud-native Microsoft Intune model (Autopilot and Entra ID join), and delivering secure, compliant endpoint management aligned with ASD Cloud Blueprint and Essential Eight. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining SOE build docs, managing Intune configuration profiles and compliance, packaging applications with Intune (Win32, MSIX, LOB), enforcing application control with Airlock Digital, configuring Defender for Endpoint, addressing compliance gaps, contributing to Essential Eight uplift, and providing technical leadership and mentorship. Requirements include 5+ years in relevant roles, strong Intune experience, Windows 11 SOE design/deployment, migration from SCCM, ASD Essential Eight familiarity, and Australian citizenship with security clearance eligibility. Canberra-based or onsite work and hybrid remote options are offered.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in modern workplace, endpoint engineering, or systems roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (enrolment, compliance, config, apps)
- Experience designing and deploying Windows 11 SOEs
- Experience migrating endpoints from SCCM/ConfigMgr to Intune
- Hands-on experience with Airlock Digital or similar application control tooling
- Solid understanding of ASD Essential Eight (especially application control & patching)
- Familiarity with ISM, PSPF, and ASD Cloud Blueprint standards
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Clear communication and strong stakeholder engagement
- Australian Citizenship is required
- AGSVA Baseline or NV1 security clearance, or ability to obtain one
- Current police check (or willingness to obtain)
