Job Summary
Senior MSA Interpreter and translator support for TU CENTCOM missions. Provide interpretation, transcription, reporting, and translation between MSA and English; serve as primary liaison between government customer and interpreters in the field; analyze conversations to document activities; conduct field operations with CONUS/OCONUS travel; remain available for emergencies; integrate within a professional team; perform duties typical of related roles as assigned. Requires professional MSA/English proficiency, 3/3/3/3 ILR, consecutive interpretation experience, cultural familiarity, and prior military experience; travel up to regular shifts with potential holidays; hold a valid passport. Desires active TOP SECRET clearance and CENTCOM-region experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience and skill in MSA and English translating/interpreting, transcribing and documenting conversation
- Professional working proficiency in MSA and English
- Must possess a 3/3/3/3 ILR Score
- Must have experience providing consecutive interpretation services between English and MSA native speakers
- Must possess skills to quickly and effectively translate between MSA/English & English/MSA in a large group setting
- Shall have familiarity with local culture and customs
- Shall have the ability to function as an integral member of a team
- Prior military experience
- Able to work for long shifts (8-12 hours a day) five to seven days per week including holidays
- Must possess a valid passport or be able to acquire a passport
- Location: designated CONUS and OCONUS locations
- Travel: CONUS and OCONUS travel is required
