Job Summary
Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer to support analytic capabilities for DoW/IC customers, developing and integrating system, engagement, and mission models using tools like Cameo System Modeler and AFSIM. Requires a firm foundation in systems engineering, operations research, and object-oriented coding (Python, C++, MATLAB); ability to express system behaviors in SysML and transition descriptive models into simulation for analyses that drive force design and CONOPS development. Responsibilities include creating data products with analytically rigorous conclusions, working with government customers and cross-contractor teams, analyzing algorithms within modeling frameworks, and contributing to architectural/technical communication products. Must be able to travel CONUS to various government sites (Reston, CO Springs, Dayton, Omaha, Albuquerque) and work in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering (or equivalent) or Operations Research/Mathematics (or equivalent)
- 5-10 years relevant experience
- Object-oriented software coding experience (e.g. Python, C++, MATLAB)
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and modeling tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
- Must be SCI eligible (background investigation within last 5 years or in continuous monitoring) and able to work regularly in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities
- Must be willing to travel CONUS approximately 20% of the time
