Job Summary
Modeling & Simulation Specialist to configure digital representations of complex military systems within a synthetic simulation environment, collaborate with domain experts to model systems at the mission level, assemble known information and use engineering judgement to fill gaps, manage time and interface with customers to deliver capabilities at the speed of relevance, and coordinate with other model specialists to integrate capabilities into a system-of-systems analysis framework. For Developer role, modify simulation frameworks to add functionality and develop new plugins to expand framework capability. Requires minimum 2+ years of AFSIM experience, government/military program exposure, and a BS/BA in a STEM field; US citizenship is required for consideration; security clearance is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) to model systems and systems of systems
- Verifiable experience supporting government (military) programs
- Proficiency in applying modeling & simulation techniques to support the decision-making process
- BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field
- US Citizenship is required for consideration
- Nice to have - Secret level clearance
- Acceptable - No current clearance but eligibility to obtain
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or Julia (nice to have)
- Experience modifying the AFSIM framework through the development of new plugins
- Deep understanding of the World Simulation Framework
- Ability to explain component-based architecture, native model, plugin, extension, command syntax, and scripting in an AFSIM context
