Job Summary
Modeling, Simulation and Analysis Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity virtual representations of diverse vehicle platforms; own end-to-end SITL/HITL environments and avionics interfaces, coordinate HITL test campaigns, and provide software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop simulation solutions to validate GNC algorithms and autonomy software against real hardware. Candidates should have aerospace experience, strong coding and software integration skills (C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Python), and experience in real-time simulation, flight-test data processing, and multi-disciplinary modeling of subsystems and system dynamics. The role requires ability to work with internal/external customers to understand simulation requirements and to help continuously improve model fidelity, with eligibility for U.S. TS clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related technical discipline
- Senior Modeling Simulation Engineer: 8 or more years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis engineering or related technical experience
- Modeling Simulation Engineer: 3 or more years of experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis engineering or related technical experience
- Experience with aerospace/aeronautical systems (including rotorcraft/VTOL) and/or Subsea vehicles
- Experience in flight dynamics/platform physics and control
- Nominal proficiency with C/C++
- Advanced proficiency with MATLAB, SIMULINK, and scientific Python (numpy, scipy)
- Flight test data processing/sim correlation experience
- Experience with developing sub-system and system level models
- Experience with model development to support GNC algorithm development
- Hands-on experience with HITL or SITL simulation operations
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance
