Modeling Outsource Artist

Modeling Outsource Artist to support and supervise outsourced artistic content, provide frontline creative feedback on submissions, document pipelines, collect or create references and technical asset references, and manage asset implementation in the engine. Responsibilities include establishing visual direction with Art Leads and Directors, producing detailed documentation and production references for external suppliers, clearly communicating feedback to external partners and ensuring notes are understood by internal artists, level designers, game designers, and production; managing process documentation with technical constraints (vertices count, materials setup, LODs, PBR textures, engine integration); training external artists on pipeline techniques and best practices; energizing remote teams around the project; and collaborating with internal stakeholders/IP owners on asset approvals. Required experience launching AAA titles across platforms, delivering production-ready assets with emphasis on stylized realism, a robust portfolio of game assets for hard surfaces and organic areas, and strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag, Perforce, 3D modeling/texture software, and familiarity with Shotgrid and Miro as a plus. Highly organized, client-focused, with clear visual and verbal communication and ability to critique, guide, and improve art through written and visual feedback; autonomous decision-making to improve asset quality and address technical obstacles; and experience working in a high-volume, high-pressure game production environment.
