Job Summary

Develop performance tracking and enhancement tools, improve forecasting methodologies, and strengthen business processes for the energy efficiency portfolio. Ensure forecasts incorporate new distributed energy resource data and policies while driving key studies to determine the financial and operational impact of asset or business environment changes. Deliver applied economic analysis on market performance, proposed rule revisions, and participant behavior, and collaborate with stakeholders to refine forecast methodologies and load/price predictions. Assess investment viability and execute in-house software tools to translate long-term resources into energy production. Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every four to six weeks to support Incident Management Team activations during emergency events.

Required Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of experience performing modeling, forecasting or economic analysis and reporting.
  • Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.
  • The primary work location for this position is Irwindale, CA.
  • Relocation does not apply to this position.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen and energy efficiency experience, with the ability to advise leadership, assess portfolio gaps and opportunities, develop programs and initiatives, support solicitations and contract execution, and apply market, operational, regulatory, and financial insights to improve compliance, customer outcomes, portfolio performance, and business results.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic problem-solving skills, with experience using forecasting, modeling, optimization, scenario analysis, risk assessment, and economic analysis to translate complex data into actionable recommendations that support energy efficiency portfolio planning, resource allocation, contract selection, and business performance.
  • Experience developing and implementing governance frameworks, business processes, forecasting methodologies, performance metrics, analytical tools, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance energy efficiency decision-making, transparency, operational effectiveness, and organizational performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives; set strategic direction; manage multiple high-priority workstreams; and deliver results in dynamic business, regulatory, and operational environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical, operational, regulatory, financial, and analytical information into clear, decision-oriented messaging for executive, governance, regulatory, and external stakeholder audiences.
  • Knowledge of utility and energy efficiency regulatory policies, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Public Policy, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
