Job Summary
Demonstrate strong upselling and suggestive selling techniques while making thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences. Provide attentive, elevated beverage service throughout the lounge by presenting menus, taking accurate orders, and mixing drinks that adhere to department policies. Coordinate seamlessly with bussers, bartenders, and hosts to ensure prompt delivery and polished presentation. Process payments accurately, manage guest tabs, and maintain a clean, hygienic workstation in accordance with SNHD standards. Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns with a positive attitude, and monitor potentially intoxicated guests by escalating issues to management. Set up assigned sections, ensure all supplies are ready, and participate in marketing materials or themed events. Work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays while maintaining a professional appearance and representing the visual identity of Altair.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Comfortable working in a creative, entrepreneurial start-up environment, introducing new concepts and innovations
- Requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in the hospitality industry within a high-volume beverage venue
- Ability to multitask and deliver attentive service in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Previous cocktail server experience required
- Valid work cards (Health, Alcohol Awareness and Non-Gaming)
- Must be able to push and lift to 25lbs
- Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time
- Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly
- Previous cocktail server experience required
- Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language
- Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke
- Ability to work in all weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, wind, rain, extreme cold
Desired Qualifications
- bottle service, upscale restaurant, lounge, hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality experience preferred
- Previous cocktail server experience required; bottle service or restaurant preferred
