Job Summary
Operate and observe machinery during production, performing simple or routine set-ups, adjusting large equipment, and using measurement instruments to check work quality. Read and comprehend production Standard Work, safety procedures, and maintenance instructions to ensure compliance. Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality against customer requirements and standards while collaborating with co-workers and supervisors to achieve productivity goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area and complete necessary paperwork. This role is based in New Bedford, MA, with a 3rd shift schedule from 12pm to 8am Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
- Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day
- Must be capable of lifting, pulling or pushing at least 50 lbs
- Must possess basic skills in order to maintain safe operation as required by job task
- Must keep working area neat and orderly
- Must be willing to work overtime
- Must have dependability, good attendance and strong work ethic
- Must be based out of New Bedford, MA
- Must be available for 3rd Shift (12pm – 8am Monday – Friday)
- Must be able to read and comprehend production Standard Work, all safety procedures, and Maintenance instructions
- Must be able to operate and observe machinery during production
- Must be able to identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards
- Must be able to collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals
- Must be able to perform simple or routine set-ups
- Must be able to operate computer console as needed
- Must be able to use simple measurement instruments to check work
- Must be able to complete necessary paperwork
- Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area
