Job Summary
Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) on-base at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. Day-to-day involves modeling architectures of complex systems using SysML, evaluating and comparing alternative architectures, articulating uncertainties, supporting requirements/interface/change management, and translating analysis results into actionable recommendations for US Government agencies. Required skills include SysML/UML modeling, MBSE methods (MBE, MDA, MDD, MDE), and experience with architecture analysis and documentation; Bachelor's in engineering/physics/mathematics and 1-3 years of related experience; US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance. Preferred familiarity with DoD environments, Hands-on MBSE tools (e.g., Sparx EA, Cameo, Rational Rhapsody), and programming or data-analytic skills (Java, C++, Python, SQL). In addition to on-base work, this role may involve limited remote work but is primarily in-office on the Kirtland AFB site.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline
- 1-3 years’ experience with product development or integration projects
- Experience developing and documenting applications design using UML or SysML
- Must be a US citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a US DoD clearance within first year of employment
