Job Summary
As a Model-Based Systems Engineer at Leidos, you will employ MBSE methodologies to develop system architectures for new programs, incorporating innovative solutions into test or fielded hardware. Your responsibilities will include capturing and decomposing system requirements, analyzing and refining architectures, and collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders. Required skills include experience with SysML, knowledge of SIL environments, and strong communication abilities. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of experience is mandatory, and the position requires U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree with at least a year experience in one of the following areas: systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering or related field
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS
- Experience working in a SIL environment
- Experience with SysML, preferably using Cameo/MagicDraw
- Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment
- Ability to work within a dynamic work environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task)
Desired Qualifications
- Active TS clearance
- Familiar with Agile Methodologies, preferably SCRUM or Kanban
- Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
- OCSMP (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals)
- Experience with executable SysML simulation capabilities and scripting languages
- Experience with MBSE methodologies such as Magicgrid
- Understanding of military CONOPS
- NKE Electronic Warfare
